Welcome to Carteret Local Food Network!

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that promotes a more resilient and equitable food system in Carteret County, North Carolina by strengthening the relationship between local farms and local consumers.

Our work is rooted in the belief that everyone in the community should know and support their local farmers and have access to healthy and sustainable food options, regardless of their income or background.

At Carteret Local Food Network, we believe in the power of community and local agriculture to create a more equitable and sustainable food system for all. We are committed to working with our partners and supporters to build a stronger, more resilient food system in Carteret County and beyond.

On our webpage, you will find more information about our mission, our programs, and how you can get involved in our efforts to create a more equitable and sustainable food and farming system.

Crop Mobs
Farmers often need a lot of extra help and luckily there are helpers in our community.
We plan to host CROP MOBS to bring these groups together on the 4th Sunday of each month.
We need volunteers to weed, plant, harvest, turn compost piles, lay plastic & fill sand bags, and lots more farm chores.
Sign up and bring a friend!
Bring a reusable water bottle, gloves, hat, sunscreen, assorted farm tools (with your name!)
We provide water, snacks, LUNCH!

Farm-to-Table Dinners will continue in 2024,
but with a twist.

We will plan and host up to 60 patrons again for a potluck,
accepting
your donations with this QR code or at the door.
Hopefully, we'll make enough to cover our cost of proteins for dinner, and the profit will be shared between CLFN and the charity-du-jour.

Sound fun? We think so too!
Stay tuned!

We look forward to what y'all might bring to the dinner - just make it local!
Like candied carrots, or a tomato pie, or smoked bluefish, or sweet potato mousse
, or strawberry shortcake, or roasted parsnips, or zucchini bread, or muscadine wine, or hot pepper horseradish chili sauce with peeled shrimp!
I'm getting hungry !!!
