What a great afternoon was had by 20 students, 18 teachers and parents, at Underground Farm for a 2 hour learning session and tour of the farm.
We are dedicated to sharing and teaching children what healthy food looks and tastes like, where it comes from and what it takes to grow it.
They rotated in small groups to four different learning stations that included planting seeds in trays and in the raised beds, compost turning and discovering, tour of the fresh vegetables all around the farm and organic methods of growing.
Josh Potter did a great job of putting this together for the group. The students also picked, washed and tasted salad, herbs and Asian greens delighting in the tastes!
We appreciate such a special card to Underground Farm as a “thank you”!
